In Conversation with Larissa Fasthorse (Sikangu Lakota) with Guest Artist Jasmine Rochelle-Goodspeed (Nipmuc), Facilitated by Dr. Priscilla Page (Wiyot)

Audiences are invited to observe a special conversation with acclaimed Native American playwright, Larissa FastHorse, as she engages with students. She will address her experience of writing for and being presented by predominantly white regional theatres and her commitment to creating theater by and for Native audiences; two very separate endeavors in US theater today. Jasmine Rochelle-Goodspeed will open the event with a short reading from her play, "1675", a musical about King Philip’s War, centering on the tragedy of Deer Island, where hundreds of Native Americans were sent, with most eventually perishing.  Co-presented by WAM Theater Company and UMass Theater Department

Cost: Free, but please register for the Zoom webinar.
