Wednesday, January 8, 2020 The right types of flowers and insects are tops on hummingbirds’ menus. Did you know that our sugar water feeders are only a supplement to them? They prefer flower nectar; and insects, as their only protein food source, are critical to the survival of both adult and baby hummingbirds. In this workshop, you’ll learn about hummingbirds, the correct feeder and plant sites, what plants attract and nourish hummingbirds, and recommended native plants for our area. Attracting these friendly tiny birds will have a positive impact on your yard and create a diversified habitat for other wildlife. http://www.udel.edu/006670
