      Avoiding Consumer Problems on the Internet

      Consumer Talks at Cornell Cooperative Extension

      On the 2nd Thursday of each month, the Assistant Attorney General meets with interested consumers at the Cooperative Extension Education Center, 615 Willow Avenue, Ithaca, New York from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. The program starts at 11:00 am with a one-hour presentation on a consumer topic (listed below), and is then followed with an opportunity for local consumers to discuss their individual problem with the Assistant Attorney General. Consumers wishing an individual consultation should arrive by 12:30 pm.

      This program is free and open to the public. No appointment is needed. For more information about this program with the NYS Attorney General's Office or other consumer issues, call the Consumer Helpline at 272-2292 between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm weekdays.

      Presentations are taped and can be viewed by Time-Warner Cable subscribers on Channel 15 on Mondays at 7:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 7:00 pm. Programs are also posted online.
