Live from SPP Giving Tuesday: Stories on the Impact of Giving
The Dean's Ambassadors of the UCR School of Public Policy (SPP) host this virtual event where they talk about the SPP Emergency Student Support Fund to benefit UCR public policy students affected by the COVID-19 pandemic (as part of UCR Giving Tuesday). The event will feature interviews with public policy students and other interactive activities. Open to the general public.
About the SPP Emergency Student Support Fund:
The SPP established an emergency fund to provide financial support to public policy students with essential needs such as housing, food, health, and other challenges directly resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. In Fall 2020, we invited students to apply for awards, and within days we received 74 applications. We were able to provide small emergency awards to 32 students, from generous gifts we had received since the start of the pandemic. However, many more students still remain in desperate need of assistance. Your generous gift will help ensure that these students are able to receive emergency support during these hard times.
