      What is Lawn to Legumes
A program focused on providing residents education and financial
assistance to convert areas of their lawns to pollinator-friendly habitat in order to slow and reverse the decline of Rusty Patched Bumble Bee populations and other at-risk pollinators.

Minnesota is home to more than 450 native bee species, as well as other pollinators such as butterflies and moths. Learn about the four supported planting types: native pocket plantings, pollinator-beneficial trees and shrubs, pollinator lawns, and pollinator meadows.

All residents will receive one-on-one site assessments and planting recommendations from a Lawns to Legumes coach or Landscape Designer.

Attendees will receive practical information about installing projects, including available cost-share programs and Blue Thumb resources to help get a project in the ground.
